Olight S1R Baton II Purple: My current EDC paired with a Spyderco Ladybug 3 w/ Mahogany Handles. Makes for a super functional and high-end package in the pocket. Magnetic recharging on the S1R is so handy. Might sound crazy but the purple colour actually makes my keys that bit easier to locate quickly... No street lights where I live so this little ripper is constantly getting used, forget about messing around with your smartphone as a torch.  

Olight X7R Marauder: The Crown Jewel! Great light for home defence/reconnaissance - floods out huge areas so you can see what's going on instantly. I have it hanging by my back door. Made a custom paracord lanyard for mine - featuring Eddie. Also - Perfect in a blackout situation as a room light - just set it on a table and bounce light off the ceiling. 

Olight Javelot Turbo Desert Tan: Good light for night hiking. Long battery life, well balanced in the hand and the throw is ridiculous. Fun to see just how far the beam can go in the bush. 

Olight S1 Baton: The one that started it all - my old EDC - has been absolutely put through the wringer over the years. Has now been retired to light duty around the house, still going strong.

My Olight addiction started in Feb 2021 when a mate from work showed me his olight collection. I went home and bought my first olight; a camo i5T. As soon as it arrived I was chasing my next one. I saw an orange S1R and had to have it. The orange addiction grew and before I knew it; I had built a collection of mainly orange olights with nearly as many Desert tan’s too. 
Fast forward to September 2021, my birthday month and I’m stoked to see that there are a few new orange olights coming.  Thank you Olight Australia ?

In my line of work, Remote Area Firefighting, when calling in helicopters for water drops we used to rely upon giving a description of where the target was and calling them in which depending on how experienced you are, could be a bit hit and miss. Since using M2R Pro’s and Warrior Minis with their strobe function on the fire line, it has resulted in quicker and more accurate drops from the aircraft as they can see the strobe in broad daylight in excess of 2km out when we stand next to the target.

My Olight story started about a year ago when I was looking for a bright torch to use for my work as a paramedic.  I chose the Olight M2R Warrior Pro as it 
 was bright, compact and I can use the tailcap switch for both turbo and strobe mode.

A couple of months ago I had an issue with my light that I thought might be the cell and ended up sending it back to Olight for warranty assessment.  Thankfully Olight were excellent and replaced the torch promptly allowing me to use it on my next nightshift.

I was dispatched to a "non-violent" mental health call in the middle of the night and as I got out of the ambulance I heard the front door of the house open but nobody came out through the screen door.  From about 20m out I lit up the door with my Olight on Turbo mode which threw enough light that I could clearly see through the screen door and the large knife that the person on the other side was holding as they started opening the screen door.

I'm sure they were just coming out to say hi but I didn't wait around to find out.  I shined my M2R in their face, hit the strobe mode and beat a hasty retreat back to my ambulance and left.

I have no doubt that if I hadn't had my Olight on me that day then I would have made it all the way to the doorway before things got spicy and so I am ever greatful that I chose Olight and that their customer service got my torch back to me in record time.

I now wear my Olight on my belt at work both day and night so it never leaves my side.

My Orange Addiction

Well this addiction all started because of a camping trip earlier this year. I didnt have a torch so i asked my brother for one of his and was given a Blue M2R Pro Warrior and didnt think much of it. Got to camp set up and everything and relaxed until night time. Got the M2R out of the centre console and double clicked to get into turbo mode and quite literally flash banged myself shining the torch on a chrome piece of trim on the car. To say the least everyone on that trip was pleasantly surprised by how powerful these Olights were and in such a small package aswell. WAYYYYYYY better than those "10 million lumen" flashlights of wish.com. That trip i was bitten by the infamous Obug and every since then cant stop buying these amazing torches. The collection and addiction continues to grow. Got a few mates hooked on these as well.

Story Time

Olight has impressed me so much that I was able to convince management to let us set each of our fire management Unimogs, G-wagens, dozens and support vehicles with warrior x turbo.  Everyone is very impressed and they get used all the time.  Even turned a fair few onto olight for their private gear too.

We are currently sharing our house with mice! (Not by choice) My Olights are priceless for getting up in the roof and setting up traps, poison, automatic lights, etc. Without them, I’d be using kerosene lamps and candles. 
My daughter and I are sitting in the lounge room the other day, she says “oh cute”. It’s a mouse cleaning it’s face outside our window, in the daytime! I ran out with my pocket knife, like it was going to stay still long enough for me to chop it in half, but it ran away. 
My wife isn’t bothered by them, she’ll sleep through an earthquake but they drive me nuts. 
When I take my M2R Pro into the roof, it quites them down for a while. I think they get temporarily blinded!? They won’t come into our actual house, the cats will eat them. We get a few male cats visiting us, (our cats) I’m surprised that they don’t get them.
Anyway, that’s how I’m currently using my Olights, it’s a bloody nightly affair. I need to take my Marauder 2 into the roof and cook them!!!
Side note: The new Seeker 3 Pro looks wicked. Top job Olight.??

Mice & Olights.

A while ago, a friend of mine adopted a gorgeous greyhound named  "Snappa". The poor thing didn't have a very happy life prior to rescue and she didn't have much trust for people or have much sense in general. After we got her back to his place and got her all settled, I went home. On my way home, my friend frantically called me saying she darted past him through the gate and straight into the bush across the road. I turned around and went straight back. It was 6pm, flogging down with rain and all I had on me was my trusty Car Kit, which was a small first aid kit, a few metres of paracord, a Spyderco PM2, an Olight S1R Baton II, and 2 spare IMR16340 batteries. My friend didn't even own a torch and was already in the bush with nothing but his phone light.

After trudging through mud, bush and spiderwebs for close to 6 hours, I used my S1RB2 on high and turbo modes the entire time and was on my last battery. At around midnight and when my torch would no longer go into turbo mode, I found her curled up next to a tree, covered in mud, shivering and panting. It seemed like she had quite the adventure and actually seemed happy to see me. I whipped out my paracord, fashioned a leash and secured her, then called my friend to tell him the good news.

It took about an hour to track our way out of the bush and back to his place. But once we made it back, we gave her a warm bath and a big dinner. She looked quite impressed with herself. The next day, I gave my friend an S1R Baton II and told him to make sure he’s always got access to a quality torch. He still has it today and loves it. The picture attached to this story is the same torch and batteries I used that night, they're still going strong and they still go with me everywhere. Snappa has since come out of her shell, loves people and is quite a character. Here's a recent picture of her being a typical happy greyhound, “roaching” on her favourite couch.

6 Hour Dog Rescue

Recently just started out my olight journey and loved the overall look and performance of this torch and had to have it. Enjoying it very much and more to come!

First olight

After being disappointed by the performance and durability of another popular brand of LED lights I purchased my first olight, an s30r, about 5 years ago. I was blown away by the performance and that first step into the olight world is still going strong today. What started as a single utility purchase has quickly grown into an obsession with a growing collection kept just to look at and countless other torches scattered throughout every room and vehicle. I recently completed a camper van conversion, so of course the van now has its own dedicated compliment of olights, 2 seeker pros, 2 olanterns, 2 arrays and 2 obulbs. Maybe it also needs a marauder….

To be used and to be collected

It all started when I needed a new light for work as a security guard. I got the Perun 2. Now my collection is growing with every sale. I buy a new torch for friends and family now with each purchase to show them how great a real torch can be! Olight fan forever!

My Olight journey

My Olight journey started a couple of weeks before my birthday last year. My friend got me a present that I couldn't open till the day, so it sat on my shelf waiting. It was a birthday/Xmas present so I could tell it was pricey. All I knew was it had 'Seeker 2 Pro' on the parcel. Not being familiar with Olight back then, I had no idea what it could be and looking it up would ruin the surprise. Finally the day came to open it. My first thoughts were, this is probably just an overpriced torch. 10 months later, after being super impressed by the Seeker 2 Pro, I've added quite a few more Olights to my collection (pic included). Can't wait for AusPost to deliver my OD Marauder 2! My brother has just starting his collection too with an ocean camo M2R pro and an OD Marauder 2 as well. I'm sure there will be plenty more. Keep 'em coming Olight!

One For Every Occasion 

It all started when I wanted a high output headlight for work, I got myself a H2R, from there my collection has expanded to olights of different shapes and colours, the wife continues to complain I don’t need that many torches but even our son took a liking to the obulb when it came out. Now when we are out in the dark I can almost guarantee she’s snuck a light into her pocket. Another friend of mine was surprised at the i1R2 and decided to get herself a torch, now not only has she got a collection bigger than mine she’s also converted her husband and he is now collecting. Olight is not just a torch or light, it’s an addiction and it’s a family!

Well it’s just quite simple Olight is the superior light of all lights. Their quality is outstanding built to the highest standard, the brightness is phenomenally bright (even the sun struggles to keep up with them) and the customer service is second to none. If you don’t have a Olight you don’t have any light. It’s just that plain and simple

Olight gods

First spotted the Olight range in a store over 5 years ago and bought the S10R as my first quality, top-shelf light. I started small but recently I have become a great fan of the value, range and great customer service. I have given Olights as gifts as well as collected more than I can use. I am not complaining although my wife and wallet is :) It is a great hobby to have and the torches, lanterns, pens and Obulbs are so practical and useful. It is great to be able to share this product with so many fans and know that when I grab an Olight, it will not fail me.

It all started back in October 2019. I’m a member of the Royal Australian Navy and it is a requirement to carry a torch on you all time at sea. I use to own a $5 pen torch from Wish that took two AAA batteries and would only last roughly 15 minutes before dying. My mate noticed this one day and recommended I checked out this brand “Olight”. I hopped on and thought to myself  “why would anyone ever spend this much on a torch?” I placed an order for a black M2R Pro and I3T bundle and quickly realised why. Since then I haven’t missed one sale and own over 70 torches. Most of them sit in my collection and a couple are used every day for work and general house duties. I carry an orange M2R Pro everyday for work and it has vastly improved how I am able to perform my job. I have no intentions of stopping adding to my collection. Some (like my parents) think it’s a weird hobby, but I know it brings many people joy and there is nothing like coming home to an Olight parcel waiting for you. I highly recommend Olight to anyone who asks me for suggestions and will continue to do so!

September 2018 and on my way to my first 100km event when my headlamp broke. Where to buy a decent headlamp at the last minute on a Friday night when everything is shut?! LED Torchshop Geelong to the rescue and an Olight HS2 was purchased. Id never heard of Olight before. Little did I know that weekend was the start of two new obsession, trail running and Olights! I still have the HS2 and its has run thousands of kms with me since.
