Fantastic torch I also have the S1r and when I saw this I had to have it. This is my third Olight torch and I love them all. I highly recommend this torch if your looking for something small with the power of a larger torch. I have led lensor also and they don't come close to Olight torches.

The powerful Olight S1R 2 is the ULTIMATE EDC (Every Day Carry) torch! The sheer brightness, throw & PERFECT beam pattern for it's compact size is simply mind-blowing! The prestige quality displayed by Olight in every aspect of this product is unparalleled. The sexy finish stands out from the crowd & shows excellent craftsmanship designed to last a lifetime. Ingenious functions like a variable built in timer, magnetic usb charger, precise thermal protection & a "super" battery make other brands look outdated. Also add a white or orange diffuser & you have the BEST pocket-able camping/emergency lantern money can buy! ...Thankyou! Well done Olight!

The Olight team went out of their way to fix an order that I wanted to change & made it super simple for me. Thing is, I placed the order in the morning, changed my mind early afternoon & asked if they could make the adjustment. An added inconvenience & unbeknownst to them, is that due to my advanced years, I took a "Senior Siesta" & crashed for a few hours. When I surfaced, I took my computer out of sleep mode & to my absolute delight, there was an email from the Olight team with an easy fix. I wasted no time in following their super easy instructions & was blown away that our postie (she's a darling) handed me the pacxkage at 11am the next morning. Factoring in that I live interstate, it's a testament to how the Olight team operate. As for the Olight S1R Baton II, it's absolutely perect for my needs being rechargeable, compact & built tough. Bottom line, you can't go wrong when dealing with the Oz Olight store.

I have never seen so much light come out of a small torch. A super well thought out/designed product. Wouldn’t be without one.

I kind of let this light sit around doing nothing as i have too many torches already, but i wrecked my EagTac EDC so this S1 has replaced it for now. Great little light, xlnt beam and so light you hardly know its there. Good amount of throw/spill for such a tiny light and the mode spacing gives you a light level to use just about anywhere. Wish i had spotted the Ti ones earlier, only 1 colour left..

I put this torch on my keyring with a clip to remove it during the day etc. I am a fairly active kinda person busy doing or making something. My torch got a lot of use finding things I need in dark rooms, they were easily found. At night I'd drop things on the ground that were usually hard to find.I push a button to turn on the torch, bang, the sun lights up the whole area white. Tress, usually look a very faint yellow colour, lite up bright white even from a distance away. These are great torches that I highly recommend buying one. I lost this one so I bought the smaller model, it is a great torch perfect for the keyring, usually bright enough. I plan to buy this torch again but the limited edition model. It will get less use as I have the baby but keep this one for night time for dark walks. When looking underneath the house where a lot of junk is stored the brighter torch like the S1R is needed to find things, I can use the smaller torch but it doesn't clearly show up what im looking for and goes flat quicker. The cheaper brands do not compare with olight either as they do not have the intensity of these torches. I loved the shape and size of this torch, fits on a keyring, last a while and lights things up so bright. I would buy a larger model if I needed it to last longer, this was not a problem just charge it at the end of the night if required. I'm writing this as I highly recommend it, I'm replacing the lost one. as I have the tiny one Im looking at the brighter model but this will not be pocket sized though. I love the torch.

Basically a Smini on steriods. This thing punches out an extremely bright well focused beam and is only a tad bigger than the compatible mini series. Great torch that is rechargeable.

My First impressions of the all new Olight S1R Baton ii. Right off the bat Olight are kicking goals with their packaging, the new style "White Box" is super easy to open and is chock full of goodies. The S1Rii comes with a IMR16340 battery (installed), the standard issue lanyard, new V2 Magnetic Charging Cable (MCC), a soft plush carry pouch, initial instructions (yellow), a user manual (white) and something that caught me off guard... a spare battery carry case! Something that is almost always forgotten with the batteries these run with is battery safety; and including a dual battery case with the torch is a very nice touch. The new V2 MCC is apparently faster than the old but for the average user I doubt you will notice much of a difference, the main changes are in aesthetics and overall polish. The charging indicator has moved from the side where the cable protrudes to the back of the puck. I'm not sure how I feel about this as I typically stand my Olights on the MCC on my bedside table and can see the charging indicator on the side where now I will have to lay it on its side to see the LED change from red to green. The torch itself is smaller than its predecessor, not by much but let’s face it; I don’t think you can pack all that tech in anything much smaller. The new "Frag" pattern knurling is fantastic and gives great purchase on the light in a myriad of positions but is not too aggressive as to become uncomfortable. The fixed position dual orientation pocket clip is very nice and calms my OCD of needing to have it perfectly aligned behind the switch and I have to say I am a massive fan of this style of clip, the ability to have the torch lens down in my pocket and then clip it lens outward facing on to the brim of a baseball cap without having to remove and rotate the clip is bliss. The UI is pretty standard fair for the S Series Olights, Press and hold for access to moon light (0.5Lm), double tap for turbo (1000/300Lm) and press and hold while active to cycle through brightness modes. The lumen levels seem to be staged well starting at 12 -> 60 -> 600/300Lm. The switch has had an upgrade and feels nice and soft to use and now has 3 colours for showing battery level (Red Yellow and Green). In use so far I am impressed, its small enough to loose in your pocket yet powerful enough to illuminate a sizable area, I used it last night to feed my in-laws dog and check their house's security and it performed very well lighting up their yard and checking 2nd floor windows from the ground. The focus of the light is a nice mix of flood and spot with a soft transition from the hotspot to the flood, it’s no R50 or M2R but for a backup or basic EDC pocket monster it’s a winner for sure. I'll be sure to grab a couple more of these in Olights upcoming flash sale (2nd October, 8-10pm AEST) for Xmas pressies and to replace the wife’s purse EDC torch I gave her years ago.

Would say exactly the same as Geoff's review at the bottom. The packaging and carry pouch is great, and even a battery case! Hard to see the display light on the new charger and the color is more cyan than blue which I like. The new knurling on the torch is more raised and feels really good. Compared to the S1 non rechargeable it is only a couple mm smaller, hardly noticeable, it has a slightly tighter beam area but a tiny bit more overall spread. It's easy to find the button in your pocket, because of the pocket clip alignment and design of the button area. The new button design looks just like the M2R but shows the battery status while running too. The UI is packed, but easy to use. 1000 lumens isn't part of the cycle when you press and hold, only accessible by double click which is a nice feature. The timer is still easy to access as well. Triple click strobe works from on/off too. Great little EDC or something to keep in the bag for an emergency.

This is my first rechargeable and I won't be looking back. Makes changing batteries seem archaic. It is small, bright and charges quickly. Too large to go on the keyring but a good choice to leave in the car console.
